About Perfect City
Perfect City is a collective arts-activism working group that tries to envision New York City for all of us. We work with planners, activists and a revolving group of artists. Their work includes mapping exercises, walking tours, a reading club, publication and other kinds of creative expression. Long term they want young people who grow up in cities to claim shape city policy and progress. They are based at Abrons Art Center through their Social Practice Residency Program. Since 2017 their work has been published on Urban Omnibus and ArtsEverywhere, presented at Abrons Arts Center, FIAF’s Crossing the Line Festival, CUNY’s Prelude Festival and in collaboration with Henry Street Settlement’s Public Histories program.Their work has been funded by Abrons and Henry Street Settlement, Rubin, Jerome and Graham Foundations, Kickstarter Contributors, and Princeton University.
